He is known for helping patients achieve their weight loss goals over the seasons. The 79-year-old doctor has appeared in 145 episodes of the show. While he is extremely skilled at his art, not every one of his surgeries has brought successful results, often due to the patientâs failure to keep up with his plan.
Taking the matter to his Instagram, the bariatric doctor addressed the ongoing craze of popping weight loss pills among celebrities and commonrs. In a form of warning, Drr. Now highlighted the unknown side effects of the weight loss shots. He also emphasized how the treatment causes a loss of both fat and muscle mass.
He explained if one uses those weight loss injections to control oneâs weight or even diabetes, one should know that one needs to keep up with exercise because those shots not only make people lose fat, they also make them lose muscle mass.
The My 600 Lb life doctor advised people to exercise daily if they are undergoing such treatments. He also expressed that even professional  doctors are unaware of the side effects of such treatments. âJust remember there are some unknown side effects with those medications that we still do not know about,â he added.
