My 600-Lb Life: Syreeta Covington’s Weight Loss Journey
Syreeta had a rough journey during her episode. The My 600-Lb Life star’s task was to drop enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. However, her progress was very slow, dropping only 59 pounds in her first few months. Dr. Now told her to drop 25 more pounds in just a month, which is an extremely difficult task. Syreeta ended up failing to reach her goals. What makes it worse is that she gained nine more pounds after a month.
But Syreeta didn’t stop there. She sought mental health and got herself back on track. She was able to shed 40 pounds in two months. Throughout her journey, she only lost 97 pounds, bringing her down to 506 pounds. She had kept in touch with the fans for quite some time before setting all of her profiles private.

Syreeta Covington is no longer active on social media. But her husband, Lawrence, continues to share updates about his life online. In September 2024, Lawrence shared photos of his wife, and they show that the My 600-Lb Life star is still struggling with her weight. Regardless, some of her photos show that she has become more active outdoors. Lawrence’s post was also to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary. He has yet to share new updates about his wife. But Lawrence likes to share pictures and clips from his fishing day, which may indicate that he and his wife have been living a healthy lifestyle.

Syreeta has also shared photos on FB before stepping away for unknown reasons. Some of the My 600-Lb Life star’s photos show her outdoor walks with her husband. It also appears that their lives have gotten better. During her episode, it was revealed that they almost became homeless due to a lost check incident. She also revealed that they’re planning to downsize, which could mean that they’re trying to save enough money for her future surgery.
Syreeta Covington has yet to film a Where Are They Now? episode with Dr. Now. But she may need to explain a lot of things to the bariatric surgeon regarding her diet.
