MBFFL: Whitney Slams Fans For Always Questioning Her Weight! — The Harsh Words She Used Stunned Viewers
Haven’t we seen Whitney evolving on TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life more than ever? Whitney not just evolved as a person experiencing body issues, but as a human with her bold demeanour, beautiful mindset, and a big advocate of self-love. Whitney has been at the heart of body positivity. But one thing that hasn’t left her side since the debut of the show in 2015 is how much Whitney weighs now. Really? Still boiling down to the same question that she has been challenging since the beginning of the show?
Whitney has finally decided to settle this matter once and for all. She wants to redirect the focus from her weight to the real motive of her life—No Body Shame. The world is toxic enough to judge us for our choices, weight, and whatnot. Whitney pleads with her show to learn to measure the right things in life. She is not up for selling a typical weight loss narrative to her followers, but rather a love narrative.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life: “Spoiler: I’ve Weighed the Same Since 2015” Whitney Reacts To Her Viewers
Restless from the speculation over her weight, Whitney took a message LOUD & CLEAR to her Instagram with nine photos, all taken over the years, and all nearly to the same weight. Spoiler: I’ve weighed the same since Season 1… I’ve always been 380 lbs,” she wrote, mentioning that during Season 4, she got to 355 lbs, something which is shown on the show itself. “You don’t have to take my word for it.”
She recalled the contradictory mean comments she received one day. People pointed out that she had dropped down dramatically and looked slimmer, while on another day, they accused her of ballooning. “It seems that if a fat person doesn’t get considerably smaller, y’all are confused,” she noted. All of these claims highlight the hypocrisy of the society we are a part of. Society’s narrow understanding of fatness and the progress attached to it is still in progress.
Whitney also broke her silence on fluctuating weight on social media and her show. Camera angles and lighting do all the job to make someone look as appealing as possible. She also emphasised that her body is not something to be tracked, but more about how she lived her reality. And for those who are just waiting for that grand transformation, Whitney made it very, very clear that’s not the real story here. “I don’t want to be reduced to that. I’m a full human being who is more than my body.”
Whitney’s message is clear and loud: Don’t mull over life to feel inspired; instead, start appreciating people for who they are, and you will see the value they bring into your life. And that’s the only REAL TRANSFORMATION that she aspires to. Whitney made it clear that she prioritised her health and happiness over anything in the world. And if that doesn’t resonate with you, “I’m just living in my body — let me.”
