Libby took to her Instagram account and shared a family picture, including her, her husband, their kids, and Chuck on November 23, 2025 (ET), revealing that the latter passed away following a harrowing battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

According to Libby’s post, Chuck Potthast passed away earlier in November 2025. He was surrounded by family as he died, leaving what relatives described as an immeasurable void. He was 64 years old. The TV personality revealed that they are learning to navigate their lives without Chuck and requested privacy in this difficult time. The post could be read as saying:

“Two weeks ago, tragedy struck our family, and it has left us completely shattered. My sweet, loving, and caring dad went to heaven. We’re trying to figure out how to navigate our lives and move forward without him. Please respect our privacy during this extremely difficult time.”
