The sleepless nights, the grueling exams, and the “accelerated” stress are officially over! Travis Clark, the husband of Bringing Up Bates star Katie Bates, dropped a massive career bombshell today, confirming that he has passed his boards and is now officially a Registered Nurse (RN).

The 24-year-old father of two (Hailey and Harvey) took to Instagram to share the life update, posting a photo of himself holding his official license with a smile that says it all: “It’s official. RN status. God is good.”

A Secret Struggle?

Fans knew Travis had gone back to school for an “accelerated” nursing program last year, but the couple kept the exact completion date under wraps. In a heartfelt vlog posted alongside the announcement, Travis revealed just how difficult the last 12 months have been.

“I missed a lot of bedtime stories,” Travis admitted, referencing his grueling study schedule while Katie held down the fort with their toddler and newborn son, Harvey. “There were nights I wanted to quit. But I did this for them. I wanted a career that could support my family forever, no matter what happens with social media.”

Why Nursing?

The move to nursing is a sharp pivot for Travis, who originally moved to Tennessee to pursue music. However, fans are praising the practical shift.

“This is the smartest thing a Bates husband has ever done,” one top comment read. “Influencer money dries up, but nurses are always needed. Good on him for swallowing his pride and getting a real degree.”

What’s Next?

With the license in hand, the question now becomes: Where will he work? Katie hinted in the video that Travis is eyeing a position in a local Emergency Room or ICU, meaning 12-hour shifts are in their future.

“I am so proud of him,” Katie gushed. “But I am not ready for him to be gone for 12 hours a day! We are going to have to adjust to a whole new routine.”

Congratulations to the new RN in the family!
