SHE’S HIRED! Tammy Slaton Takes A Massive Step Toward Independence — Whether She Actually Survived Day One! ( See The Workplace Photos! )
1000 Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has bagged the first job of her life. So, on the first day of working itself she showed how she is adulting post-weight loss. Her skin-removal surgery proved to be the real game-changer in her weight-loss journey after she lost over 560 pounds. She currently weighs 185 pounds, which is jaw-dropping for her family and fans.
Tammy met her mom, Darlene, in person for the first time after her surgery. She told the cameras she wanted to reveal her little secret: her transformation. Her mom shouted in excitement and shock over her daughter’s slimmer physique. She changed her “Tubby” nickname to “Skinny Mini” because she deserved it. Did getting a job change Tammy’s perspective on adulting?
1000 Lb Sisters: What Does Tammy’s First Day At A Volunteer Job Look Like As An Adult?
A preview clip from the next 1000 Lb Sisters Season 8 episode showed Tammy walking into the Vanderburgh Humane Society office as a volunteer. She shared that three days ago, she received an official call from them informing her that she had been hired to volunteer. This news has been nothing short of a relief, since she was nervous about her very first real-life interview.
However, Tammy relatively smartened up on her first day. She met her co-volunteer, Alana, who gave her a t-shirt in her size to get started on the day’s tasks. Animals interest her, so she has been jumping for joy at all the fun and work together. With a smile, she announced her adulting.
Tammy wished Amy could join the volunteer career, too, because she, too, loves animals. Anyway, Tammy chose to be both anxious and excited. Wearing the t-shirt has really made her feel honored, because she said no one in her family has volunteer cred to their name like hers.
Many fans supported Tammy’s big decision to move on and do something she loves. Her accomplishments aren’t something she created overnight. She didn’t regain the pounds after bariatric surgery, unlike Amy. Tammy is truly an example of what dedication and willingness can do for the mind and body.
