Michael threw things, frightening Amy, and she initiated a divorce thereafter. She tearfully disclosed that he mentally abused her. Then comes Tammy’s husband Caleb, passing tragically at just 40 in a treatment facility. As a newlywed, their union seemed perfect despite her family’s dissatisfaction. Before his death, the couple parted ways due to his lack of effort in following his diet.

While Tammy remembered Caleb in every sweet way possible, she took time to heal herself. Both she and Amy suffered from poor mental health conditions. Amy’s divorce is allegedly responsible for the explosive brawl with Amanda and Tammy. Most of the time, she didn’t go for therapy, which ended up giving her acute stress, depression, and bipolar disorder.

Tammy similarly struggled in her dark phase, where she became bitter toward others and attempted suicide. Moreover, her and Amy’s addiction issues were never long gone, which placed their weight loss journeys on a temporary hold. The TLC stars coped with strange, complicated feelings where they resorted to gulping down eight sodas or liquor along with vaping.
